How to promote South Africa in Portugal?

How to promote South Africa in Portugal, was the theme of the meeting that brought together, in a round table, the South African Ministry of Tourism, Derek Hanekom, with representatives of the Portuguese tourism sector.

Sponsored by the South African embassy in our country, the event that took place on 20th November, served to address the potential that the South African tourism has for the Portuguese market, opportunities and major challenges.

Portugal is the sixth largest market of tourists from Europe to South Africa, one of the reasons that led the minister of the South African Tourism, Derek Hanekom, to visit Lisbon to gather ideas on how to increase the input of the Portuguese in the country. The objective, explains the Minister of Tourism, is "intensifying marketing in Portugal."

At the meeting with the Minister of the South African Tourism, Derek Hanekom, were the Ambassadress of the Republic of South Africa in Portugal, Keitumetse Matthews, the first secretary of the embassy, Mr. Reed Mkhohliso, João Raposo from Pestana Hotel Group, Paulo Alves from Across, Artur Sousa from ATR, Leonor Ramos from Abreu and José Marques da Costa from Novotours.
