Itinerary


DAY 1 – ARRIVAL CAPE TOWN – Arrival at Cape Town Airport, followed by transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, enjoy dinner at one of the several restaurants in the V&A Waterfront, one of the city’s main attractions (at own expense).

Cape Town: Cape Town is situated on a small peninsula on the southern tip of Africa which penetrates into the Atlantic ocean. It is the main tourist destination in South Africa and it’s the fourth largest urban Centre. Known as the  “Mother city” Cape Town’s buildings, streets and ambience reflect  the cultures and traditions of several of its ancestral inhabitants, from Europe, Africa  and the Far East , making it one of the most  cosmopolitan and beautiful cities of the word.

DAYS 2 AND 3 – CAPE TOWN – Days at leisure for individual activities. We recommend a visit to the Cape of Good Hope, tour to the Cape Winelands, tour to the Table Mountain or shopping at the V&A Waterfront Complex (Tours not included in the package - please contact us for more information).

DAY 4 – CAPE TOWN / PORT ELIZABETH AIRPORT / SHAMWARI GAME RESERVE – After breakfast, transfer to the Cape Town airport. Depart on SAA flight to Port Elizabeth Airport (Class V - subject to availability). Arrival and transfer to Shamwari Game Reserve (approximately 90 kms takes around 1 ½ hour).

Shamwari, meaning “my friend” in Shona, is the pinnacle of private game reserves and home to the coveted Big 5. Stretching 25,000 hectares over a malaria free landscape, it offers an award-winning nature experience and is one of the largest private conservation initiatives in Southern Africa. Shamwari is a place where guests can exist in harmony with nature, however fleeting the moment, where wildlife freely roams the landscape under the relentless African sun. You can choose to stay on:

Sarili Family Lodge - Contemporary African Luxury- Named after a supreme Xhosa Chief, who reined in the late 1800’s, Sarili Lodge offers contemporary comfort perched above the Bushman’s River, overlooking the grassy plains of ancient Africa. The lodge is a private oasis for family, groups and friends. This environmentally friendly lodge provides the perfect combination between a colonial and bush experience.

Long Lee Manor - Refined elegance from a bygone era - This gracious Edwardian Manor House echoes traditions of the past offering colonial style accommodation, manicured gardens, pools and ponds, terraces and verandas – all overlooking the magnificent plains teaming with wildlife.

DAYS 5 AND 6 – SHAMWARI GAME RESERVE – According to the program to be informed locally by the lodge ranger, you will take part in a morning and afternoon game drive, including a walking safari.

​ DAY 7 – SHAMWARI GAME RESERVE / PORT ELIZABETH AIRPORT / CAPE TOWN – Breakfast at the lodge. At time to be advised road  transfer back to Port Elizabeth Airport and departure on SAA flight to Cape Town Airport (Class V - subject to availability). Arrival at Cape Town Airport, followed by transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free.

DAY 8 – CAPE TOWN / COUNTRY OF ORIGIN – Morning at leisure. At time to be informed, transfer to Cape Town Airport. Depart to your country of origin or opt to extend your trip.
